Two Minute Profits
I found this great little guide today that has some good (quick and easy) information about using Adwords with Affiliate Marketing. It is called Two Minute Profits and although it is only 14 pages, it is quite useful. You can get Two Minute Profits if you don’t mind parting with about $6. I think it’s worth it.
Just Do Something…
If you are still trying to make that first Internet sale, either by Affiliate Marketing or selling your own product, you are not alone. Many people seem to struggle to make a sale online. Now, without being too harsh, there is a reason for that. Many people who are new to Internet Marketing get caught up in what I call Information Overload. Instead of actually doing something that will make you money, you are either doing nothing productive or worse, spending more money trying to find the “secret” to success. I will give you a great tip right how that I believe is the actual secret of online success. Get Started! First, you really should have your own website even if it is just a blog where you will be able to post your own reviews, etc. I highly suggest you use your own domain name and hosting as opposed to using blogger or something, but if money is really tight you can use them. I am going to assume that you already have a product to promote in mind. I will give you a hint, don’t try promoting the same thing everyone else is already promoting. If you are using clickbank, don’t use something that just came out and is hot (because everyone else is doing it already), try using something older that other people may not bother with. The next step is to write in your blog about the product - not just a few words, but really spend some time wiring about it. For example, it is clear that I spent some time on this post isn’t it? That’s the kind of stuff you want to write. So, once you have your review posted on your blog, you are going to then write some more but this time in an article format. Be sure and include a link back to your website somewhere in the article! Why do you need to write so much? Here is another secret for you - duplicate content. Most people who promote something just use whatever they are given and throw it up. This information is then found on hundreds of websites, so Google will eventually put many of them in the supplemental index because of duplicate content. So, by writing in your own style, with your own words, you do not have to worry about that happening to you. The next step is to submit the articles to a few article places like goarticles.com and ezinearticles.com which is free. Once you have done that, your final step is to post some classifeds about the product again with a link back to your website. I personally use USFreeads for this, and their system gets a lot of traffic. Yes, I realize that this is actually work! Internet Marketing is indeed work, and despite the claims in some guides you have bought, it does take a little time. Will you be making a sale the next day after doing all the above? I doubt it. But, if the product is good and your writing is halfway decent, you should make that first sale soon, and that will go a long way to boosting your confidence. The next step is to find a new product and repeat!
Viral Spiral Secrets
I saw the Viral Spiral site today and downloaded a guide called Viral Spiral Secrets from Tim Brocklehurst. Feel free to use that link and download a copy for yourself. You might say that his ideas are obvious, but in my opinion, great marketing ideas are like magic tricks, once you know how they work it seems silly you didn’t notice it before. I took away some great information from this free guide, and so will you. I am curious to see how the software works, but it looks promising. I am also going to look into Viral PDF Branding, since that is something I have been thinking about for a while, and now seems a good time to finally start. Article Marketing
Many times people who are new to online marketing don’t have much of a budget for advertising, or they may have more time than money at the moment. How do you get traffic when you can’t afford to advertise, or have more time than money? One of the best ways to get free traffic is by writing articles about your product or service. You can also write an article about a related topic and include your webiste in your bio. It is important to keep in mind that an article should be informative and newsworthy, not just a promotional campaign. If people feel like they are reading a press release, they won’t pay much attention to what you have to say. There are many places to submit articles online. It does take some time to do this, but the cost is zero. However, if you want to spend a little money that will help you submit your articles to a lot of places easily, you might want something like Instant Article Submitter. Either way, don’t underestimate the power of using articles as part of your overall marketing plan. You never know where that next customer will come from, so why not put out a few more hooks?
